Set Apart Blessing
Sister Caitlynne Dawn Jenni, by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood which we hold, we lay our hands upon your head to set you apart as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Indeed called to wear the badge and to serve the Savior in the mighty work of a mission. You’re assigned to labor in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma mission, and that will become one of the great blessings of your life. Caitlynne as you realize that you have been called to a place where you will find love, that you're able to offer and love that you're able to receive, you will be blessed and cared for. And we bless you that the ward families that you labor with will care and nurture you through any challenge or difficulty that you might face. You will receive strength from them. From their own faith and from the peace that you feel with them. They will surrogate your family. They will be your family. The closeness that you need. And they will strengthen you against the day.
We bless you that you will have a strong and healthy mind. We bless you that you will find clarity of thought, that things won’t mount upon you. The stresses, anxieties- they will be relieved by the comfort of the Savior. We bless you that each day, as you turn yourself in prayer, you will find that your honest and candid offerings are received in the heavens and strengthened in return. You will find that you are capable and able and buoyed up to do this great work that you are called to do. Now we bless you that in your willingness to serve, in your desire to serve, you will find that you have every gift and ability that you will need to be strong and powerful in teaching those in whom will be listening to your words. We bless you to be a powerful and testifying missionary.
Also as spoken, you are an empathetic person. One capable of feeling the hearts of others. We bless you that you’ll be able to use this gift to help others to know how much you truly do love them. And as they feel your love they will have the desire to know why you are such a special person. We bless you to know that you are a daughter of God. That your divine inheritance is everything that the gospel has brought including the opportunity to receive covenants. And that as such, nothing else matters-Appearance, or ability to say or articulate words that you wish you could-are of little value when you realize you are of God’s daughter and that he will carry your words and that he will make you great from the inside out. We bless you that you will be a strength to your companion and mission president, that you will be a servant to them. That you will look for and see and take opportunities to bless their lives.
We bless you that you might find joy. Missionary work is about joy. You have an opportunity to separate yourself-your own personal needs and desires-and place your whole heart into the service of the Lord. This will be one of the great and most joyful times of your life. We bless you that as you jump in completely into the work, completely leaving yourself behind-worries, stress, concerns over your family and others- that the Lord will simply lead you on this joyful path of missionary service. In time when you rise each morning, simply ready to fulfill His will in your day.
Now we bless you with health, again both mental and physical, that you will be strong. Strong minded, strong and capable. That skills and abilities that you have been taught to maintain your mental health will be quickly at your fingertips and you will utilize them. We bless you that again, your prayer, your communication and connection to your Savior will be one of the daily graces that you receive as you feel His love and enabling power to get by, day by day. More than get by. Truly enjoy and have joy, in this beautiful opportunity to serve. This blessing we bestow upon you, with all the tenderness of this party, and those who stand in heaven as witnesses, and who love you, and who pray for you, and who will be a strength for you as your grandfather articulated. We bless you in this way, and humbly do so in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
