Jesus Is Cool.

This week was WILD! (For real this week) We had soooo many miracles.

Today marks THREE MONTHS OF BEING A MISSIONARY!! So here’s three things I’ve learned;)

1. Eight hours of sleep just doesn’t cut it anymore.

2. I can do literally anything with the help of Jesus Christ, and literally nothing without Him.

3. God’s hand is in EVERYTHING!! This life is just too cool.

-Harold texted us and told us he didn't want to take lessons from us anymore. We were emo the rest of the night.

-I saw this guy while street contacting, and he said he was too busy to talk since he had to catch the bus. We started going our separate ways, but I had the prompting to follow him. He was about a quarter mile down the road at this point (mans a fast walker) so I literally sprinted the entire way- like a weirdo- and left my comps in the dust lol. I guess cross country paid off haha. I caught up to him and asked if I could walk with him to the bus, and he said that he meant enough for me to run after him, then he would listen to what I have to say. Miracles!

-I felt the prompting to go to Harold's house, and we talked to him and we are meeting with him again!!

-James from Bingo called me a pig…

-got Swig 3 times in one week. Utah gorl Cait is definitely still there.

-Had exchanges this week! I love Sister Knight, she is just the cutest. She came out with me and is my bestie roommate Sister Emmy Lloyd’s best friend:)

-Overheard some Bible bashers plan out how they were going to try to prove us wrong. It was actually hilarious. He was taken aback that we were so kind to him.

-E.J. (Edwin) got baptized!! Sister Sody played the uke and I sang of course.

-Had some of the hardest questions asked to me as a missionary, and possibly my life. I love hard questions, but those ones even made our members nervous haha.

-We had a lesson, and this dude did not agree with anything except that “Jesus is cool” hense my title for the week.

-Made a deal with Eric that if he would obey the word of widom, I wouldn't have any chick fil a for the rest of the time I'm in Norman. One week, going strong haha.

-Did the Jack Sparrow run around the parking lot with Sister Sody because instrumental music is now approved and I got the Pirates of the Carribean theme song!!!

Spiritual thought:

This week we taught a lot of logical thinkers. They threw a lot of stuff at us that made it pretty evident that they wanted to walk by sight, and not by faith. It made me think quite a bit of why I believed in things that I couldn’t see.

When I was a freshman in high school, I read the Book of Mormon for the first time. I didn’t have the testimony that I wanted, and honestly I really struggled with it. But the words of Alma really helped me.

Alma 32:21- And now as I said concerning faith-faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.

I didn’t know a ton of things, but I started hoping that they were true. That eventually turned my sandy foundation into a rock solid one. My testimony is still growing, and it always will. I’m only twenty, I have a TON of work and learning to do. But if we start with hope, and not with the things that we can or can’t see, I know that we will grow closer to Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven.

That’s it y’all! I love hearing from y’all, so feel free to shoot me an email any time!

God loves you, and Jesus is cool.
