PRAY FOR BOSTON!!!

Hey hey y'all!

Hope y'all had a happy Valentines day!! This week was WILD so let's get into it.

Highlights!

☆The Primary boys gave us a card for Valentine’s Day. It was so cute!

☆Made some sugar cookies and delivered them to friends and ward members.

☆Walked Brother Gorshe’s dog Louie. He is so sweet, but just as hyper. He bit me in the bum. #WalkLouieWednesday

☆Got a neck massage by a lady at wickshire named Vera. It was less of an invitation and more of a threat if I didn't let her. She thinks I need physical therapy because my neck is messed up…

☆An Elder made me cry during role plays at district council because I was trying so hard not to laugh.

☆Half of the people at wickshire wanted to give us tours of their rooms, so we got the whole deal haha.

☆President announced that we were allowed to go to the temple QUARTERLY!!! That is seriously the biggest blessing ever!!

☆Went to a baptismal service, Salisa and Brae entered into the water and made covenants with God<3

ABSOLUTE FIRE MIRACLE!!!

In terms of finding, this week was a little bit rough. We decided to go street contacting in 4th ward since I had a prompting to go to a specific neighborhood. The 1st person we talked to was not very nice to us, the 2nd person was pretty comfortable in the church she was in for 53 years, and she also said that she did not want to be with her deceased husband forever when we brought up eternal marriage. We were a little bit discouraged and after our hour was up, we decided to go back to the car. There was a boy walking his dog, And he came running up to us and he asked, "are you guys the missionaries?" and we were like "...yeah!".

He then told us that One of his friends at school gave him a Book of Mormon on Monday and he had read through most of it. All. The. Way. To. MORMON. THIS HAPPENED ON FRIDAY!! We were so excited! We asked him if there was a time we could talk to him more about it. And he looked at his watch and said "I've got time right now." So we taught the entire first lesson on the corner of the street. He really connected with Joseph Smith because he too was 14. He told us, "is this a coincidence or God?" We assured him that it was most definitely God. SO PRAY FOR BOSTON!!!

Spiritual Thought:

This week in my studies I spent some time in Jeremiah. I love how the first 10 verses talks about when he is ordained a prophet. He talks about how he didn't know what he was doing. I'll just copy paste because the story says it all.

Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

7 ¶ But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

9 Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

How awesome is that?! I love verse 8 and 9, I feel like it is so personal to missionaries. But it most definitely can be applicable to everyone!! Just remember when you choose to be on God's side, you're automatically on the winning team. So be one of His star players, because He needs YOU!

Anywho, love y'all so much. And so does Jesus!
