Kenzies On Date!!
Hey everyone!
Hope y'all have had some good weather wherever you are. On Saturday it was 82⁰, and today we are in the 40s. Oklahoma is weird.
Highlights:
☆ Had dinner with Brother Gorshe!!
☆Went to Rudy’s for lunch, it was BOMB
☆took part in a giraffe drawing contest at the OU institute building, did not win.
☆Got bashed while street contacting, then he asked us to pray that he gets a hot girlfriend.
☆had an AMAZING exchange. Sister Dunn is so cool. She played soccer too, so we bonded over that.
☆fed peanuts to a dog in the ghetto. We named him Ronchobi (no idea, just came to mind)
EPIC FAIL
I have a purple scripture marker. I’m pretty intense with my scripture marking, so I have a color coding system. The problem was that I lost my marker, and it was kinda devastating. I looked ALL OVER!!
One place I looked was under the passenger seat of our car. It was freezing and rainy, so I didn’t want to get out of the car, so I just looked while kneeling on my seat. The problem is, since I’m a shorty pants and my companion is taller, my seat is way moved up. I could get down easily, but the way I was positioned I couldn’t get back up. I also didn’t bring my arms down with me so I was completely stuck. We were laughing about it and I asked my comp to pull me up, but I moved just the right way to make my face smack the floor of the car- keep in mind I didn’t have arms to catch myself. I bit my tongue super hard and it ended up bleeding for a solid day… gross. We were all laughing so hard during this whole thing. Eventually Sister Hay got out of the car and helped me from the outside. Forget about the purple marker, I could’ve marked my scriptures with my face because it was so purple. It was the dumbest thing ever but so funny. Good news: I found my marker that night in the couch, after looking about ten times
We have a new friend, Kenzie. She is just the cutest ever. We met her on Thursday, and gave her a church tour. While showing her the baptismal font, she said, “Oh, I’ve always wanted to get baptized, I just didn’t know where to go.”
UMMMM WHAT?!
So we met with her on Saturday for a lesson, and she has accepted a date to be baptized on April 29!!
She’s having surgery today, so please pray for her!!
Sorry this is so short, I'm absolutely exhausted today haha. But I love you all so much! Have a good week!
Sister Jenni <3
