Sister Snelgrove!

Hey y'all!

This week went by too fast. Soo much has happened!

I'M DUAL TRAINING!!! I'm for sure a little stressed about it, but am so thankful that my companions are good and ready to go to work. For anyone here who served/ are serving missions, what are some things that your trainers did that you did/didn't like? I need all the tips I can get.

Sister Snellgrove was the ONLY Sister who came in this transfer, and President assigned her to me! I feel so lucky, but also a TON of pressure. Even though it's my second transfer training, this is the first time doing it all by myself. So any words of wisdom would be so appreciated.

Highlights:

☆Went to swig one last time with Sister Allen:( until after the mish, or until President puts us together again….

☆fed Koi fish with Kenzie, it was seriously so fun.

☆I got my new trainee! Her name is Sister Snelgrove. She’s from Rexburg, Idaho. Her and Sister Hay went to high school together!!

☆I wore my blue light glasses because I have had mega migraines this week, and a member’s son told me I looked like a girl that would say “According to my calculations…” ouch?

☆had a realllyyyy weird talk with someone who is a gray dot. (if you want to know totally email me and I’ll spill)

☆Had a lesson with a less active family, and now their two boys are going to the singles ward. We did some work with the Elders, and we will be teaching the dad who is not a member soon!! Miracles!!

☆Seriously had THE BEST “why I believe”. It’s so cool hearing people's stories. I love it.

☆ Said bye to Sister Oakeson at transfers because she went home!!!

Miracle!!

On Saturday, everything was canceled. So we decided to pull out the good old lcr lists, and went to make some visits. Two families on the same street. We had already been to this street multiple times with no luck.

The first house was a woman named Brenda. At first she said she wasn’t interested, and Sister Hay told her that we were here to get to know her. I love that about Sister Hay. She takes the time to get to know people and their needs. We talked about her work, Harry Potter, and then basically her whole life story. And then she said “yeah I’m going to try to get Sundays off to come to church.”

UMMMM WHAT???

The next was a lady named Megean. Shes middle aged, and has a twelve year old who is not a member. She became inactive because of some issues with her and her now ex-husband. At first she didn’t want to open up, but after some talking she just broke down. It made all of us cry hearing what she had gone through because of choices of a spouse. She told us she wanted to come back to church. “Do y’all still give out blue books?” We were a little confused, and then she said, “You don’t give out Book of Mormons anymore?” of course we gave one to her and one for her son. She is seriously so sweet, and so loved by us.

One thing I learned is that people are WAITING to come into the fold and don’t even know it. It’s our job to help them do that. Isn’t that just too cool?

Spiritual Thoughts:

This week, all three of us spoke in sacrament meeting. Sister Snelgrove talked about the Sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane and how the Atonement of Jesus Christ is meant to make us “At one” with God. I just love that so much, it really touched me.

I talked about the Crucifiction, and how we can bear our cross and follow Jesus Christ. I had a lot of cool realizations about the Atonement. I learn more every day about it.

Sister Hay talked about the word Beloved, and how Jesus Christ is the Beloved Son of God, and how He was resurrected. She testified that the people who are Beloved to us that have passed will too one day be resurrected and made whole.

General Conference is this weekend!! Everyone get ready! The best revelation comes when you have a question, a pencil, and a paper. Take some notes, keep a prayer in your heart. I promise you that as you read the Book of Mormon this week, you will find yourself prepared to hear what the Spirit has to say to you!!

I hope yall have the best week! Remember God loves you and so do I!!
