Hey y'all!

Hope everyone had an awesome week. Of course I did because I'm blessed with the BEST COMPANIONS EVER! I've never laughed so hard in my life. 



Highlights:

☆went to the Kunz's farm for dinner. The food was BOMB, but then we got to see all of the animals. I got to hold a baby goat. 

☆met a girl named Camille during street contacting. She was super sweet, and invited us to her backyard for herbal tea. It was kinda gross but we appreciated it. Better than getting the door slammed in our face. 

☆Old man Mike told us a bunch of totally untrue things about the church, and said that Wikipedia knows more than we do.

☆we went to our friend Brenda's house, and she opened the door, told us she had company (there was literally no one there), said "work on me later!" , and slammed the door. We decided to turn down the heat:(

☆while walking down the street, this lady was slowly driving her car-clearly high- yells, "GET IT GIRLS!!" and turns up the radio to an unholy song. We could hear her screaming the lyrics from down the street. 

☆watched videos of boxing kangaroos and swooping magpies at the Stanfields house ☆took brother gorshe out to lunch for his birthday! 81! We went to picklemans on campus. 

☆We also found out that TOBY KEITH'S HOUSE IS IN OUR WARD BOUNDARIES!!!!! UMMMM SO EXCITED!!

☆ Bentley's baptism. His dad is a returning member, and we were teaching his family. We were so happy for him!  

☆ A random guy came up to us and said, "I've never seen so much beauty in such a small space..." and then walked away:/

Spiritual thought:

With Jean on Saturday night, we read the talk "Joy and Spiritual Survival" by our Prophet. If you haven't read it, give it a read. It was given in the October 2016 General Conference. I was reminded that no matter what's going on in my life, I can find something to be happy about. That happiness comes from focusing on Jesus Christ, because only true joy comes from Him. Read the talk! It's too good.

I'M THE SENIOR COMPANION, AND DESIGNATED DRIVER!!!



Of course I'm sad, Sister Allen is literally my best friend on the mission. But it will be good because I still have Sister Hay.

Hey y’all!     This has been quite. the. week.      Highlights: -got to see Sister Demmerly at mission tour! -Got to spend some time with Ann at Bingo -Had a ward Christmas party, all of the primary girls decorated cookies and gave them to me. And they waited for me to eat them…. it’s so good to see that they look up to me, and want me to get obese.  -had a Christmas devotional with the whole mission -Sister Okie drew me the best picture ever of me and Morgan Wallen, and Sister Sody told a story based on the picture. Funniest comp bonding ever:) -Held the CUTEST puppy ever named Lola.     So on Friday, we were in the middle of teaching Toni. The lesson was pretty good, when all of a sudden the biggest BOOM happened. Like the blinds and doors were shaking in the house. And there was the brightest light that flashed. (Now I’ve been in Missouri during huge thunderstorms, I thought I’ve seen and heard it all.) I thought that WW3 was starting. No joke....

Longest Week EVER!!!

Hey y’all!! Oh. My. Goodness. I changed my P-day because I’m going the the temple today. I’m so happy to be going to the Lord’s house with Norma-Jean, but tell ya what I am TIRED!!! But in the best way;) Its been a kind of slow week and a half, the roads are COVERED with ice so we have not been allowed to drive. So that means: 1. doing all of our work over the phone… 2. begging members to give us rides 3. walking everywhere we go  Soooo this week we…. -did over 60 hours of phone work -had ALL of our lessons cancel on us -more than half of our member meals canceled on us -we ran out of food, money, and miles -I made sister sody so jealous because everyones little kids come and give me the biggest hug, then just stare at her…and it always happens to the people who we’ve never met. She says it’s a spiritual gift haha.  -got my fingernails painted by Dallas’ little girl named Haven.  -got our hair cut by sister kern, she’s from Salem and I had NO IDEA!! -watched “why I believ...

Hey y’all! What a week! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! I love being a missionary.  My district and I joke that it’s giving us a sliver of what being a new parent is like.  You go to bed tired, you wake up tired, all day you’re tired. But it’s okay, because you love it!!  -My family made it to Italy! They love it! Must be quite the adventure having no car, no house, and having a loaf of bread cost nearly $10…  -I have spent over 50 hours on the computer between classes, lessons, and zoom meetings with my district and my companion.  -I taught my first lesson! It’s starting to feel so real and I’m loving every minute of it.  -Had the ward trunk or treat… I love halloween so of course I had to dress up… -Had chicken and rice for dinner! I’m telling you, any type of chicken is a food that makes me proud to be an American.  -Probably drank half of my body weight of lemonade and chocolate milk… don’t worry mom. Nama and Bampa are taking good care of me! ...
