Rip Our Miles...

Hello Hello!

Wow. What a year this week has been. It's been so hard, yet so rewarding. This email won't be long because I am absolutely exhausted today, and p-day is nap day haha. I'll be honest, the mission is a hard, tiring experience. But it's also been the most rewarding and happiest time of my life. It's like parenting, except I get 8 hours of sleep every night. (And a ton of other differences)

The field is so white here, and I'm so happy to be a part of this work.

Highlights!

☆we got to bike all day on Wednesday. I'm starting to like biking a lot haha.

☆Spent an evening on OU campus, kind of a let down because we couldn't find our referral, but then he called us!... and then we sent his information to the Elders.

☆ We had the Word of Wisdom talk with Kenneth. It went so well! He is so excited for his baptism.

☆at a member dinner, we got to hold literally the biggest bunnies I've ever seen!

☆went to a restaurant called Sweet Basil, and it was soooo good. We had Thai.

☆Fun Fact: Sonic was founded in Oklahoma, and they are everywhere here.

☆Worked on Kenzie's garden, it was so fun!

☆almost let an 80 year old man walk home 6+ miles. He also had a stroke 2 months earlier. And he wanted to walk along the highway with his walker. Kenneth is quite the character. Not to mention it was 80⁰.

☆gave a little girl lolly pops while people pulled a huge tick off her shoulder during one of our lessons. We had to reschedule.

☆we got a referral named Carla. She had been taught by the missionaries before. We texted her to say hi and set up a time and all she said was, "thanks for reaching out, I'm ready to do what it takes to be baptized". You better believe we are jumping on that one fast. Her only concern is that she is scared of water….

☆ Finally got to meet Mindy! She is just the sweetest, we are teaching her kids as well now.

☆ had 4 friends at Sacrament meeting!! We were so thrilled that we could help our friends come unto Christ.

☆we have so much going on that we drive 30 miles a day. We only have 650 with a HUGE area so please pray for us haha.

Spiritual thought:

Since General Conference, we've followed the Prophet's advice by reading 3 Nephi 11 in member meals, lessons, and other times. There is so much power in that chapter.

Again, if you haven't read verses 1-17 since President Nelson's invitation, go do it! It will take you 10 minutes if you're a super slow reader. Everyone has 10 minutes. If you've already read it, read it again!

3 Nephi 11 is the Luke 2 of Easter. We don't have anything without Christ's Atonement. As a missionary, I get to see Christ change people's lives, as well as my own. But it would never be possible without His atoning sacrifice.

Let Jesus Christ change your life! Turn to Him in all that you do and I promise that your life will be full of happiness and peace that you can't find anywhere else.

Everyone have the bestest week ever! I love you all so much, and so does Jesus!
