Enid

Hello from Enid!

Oh my goodness I just love it here. Our apartment has a wide open field on one side, and our balcony overlooks a pond with lots of trees, ducks, geese,  turtles, HUGE FISH, and bullfrogs. We also have a bird nest on our roof, and all the cute birds just love our balcony.

Highlights:

☆Received the news that we are getting 2 new zones/stakes! That means that the work is really moving forward in Oklahoma!

☆threw a friend's coffee away, it's the best when they are so willing to follow the word of wisdom

☆said lots of goodbyes, it’s hard leaving your baby area, but I love it here in Enid.

☆My bike tire popped while we were 4 miles out, but it was able to stay full enough for us to make it home safe.

☆Met a lady at Taco Bell, she said she was interested in learning about the gospel.

☆We were getting out of our car, and I looked down and there was a baby turtle on the ground, we picked it up, (of course took pictures and named it Arnold) and then took it back to its home.

☆We have 3 people on date for baptism here! I just love our friends so much, it’s so cool to see people’s lives changing.

☆found the prettiest fields to take pictures in with Sister Lee.

SISTER LEE!!

Oh I love her so much. She’s from Spanish Fork, Utah- so we’re pretty much neighbors. We know a lot of the same people so that’s cool. We work so hard together, and laugh even harder. It really has been a blast with her.

Spiritual Thought:

I was reading Elder Neil L. Andersen’s latest General Conference talk, "My Mind Caught Hold upon This Thought of Jesus Christ"

You should read it, super good. It talks about how holding on to Christ and His gospel will bless us. In the talk he quoted President Nelson.

President Nelson said: “There is nothing easy or automatic about becoming [a] powerful [disciple]. Our focus must be riveted on the Savior and His gospel. It is mentally rigorous to strive to look unto Him in every thought.”

It makes me feel comforted to think that Jesus doesn't expect us to be perfect in this life, only that we try our best. This life isn't easy, but as long as we are moving up the hill, we are doing exactly what Jesus wants us to do.

Anywho, I love you all! Everyone have the best week!
