I love Enid so much! And love Sister Lee even more! It has been such a blast serving with her!

Highlights:

☆Had my first MLC!! All of the Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, and District Leaders spent a day with Elder Godoy. He gave the best training, seriously the best pump up to go find, teach and baptize. 

☆Mission Tour! This is the second time a general authority has come to Oklahoma in the past 6 months! The work is moving forward here!! Fast!

☆Two more of our friends are on date for baptism! John and Troy! That makes four for our ward in the month of June. We are so excited, Enid is so ready to hear what the Lord has to say to them. 

☆ My first exchange as an STL! Sister Blanchard is so sweet, I got so many good scriptures from her. 

☆Last P-day I caught a fish in under 2 minutes. I won’t go into detail because I’d like to keep my dignity, but it was a hilarious experience. They have fish in the pond that are the size of my leg, and I am so determined to catch one. Wish me luck

☆took a selfie with Elder Godoy, he thought my phone was cooler than his Iphone. (That will be the first and the last)

☆some guy at Walmart gave us pennies with a cross on it, it was pretty cool:) I love how much people love Jesus here!!



Spiritual:

One thing that stuck out to me during Elder Godoy’s training came straight from the Introduction of the Book of Mormon. It says that if you read the Book of Mormon, ponder it in your hearts, and pray in the name of Jesus Christ to see if it is true. 

The last paragraph says that if you know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, you’ll know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph smith is the prophet of this dispensation, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom on earth. Elder Godoy drew it all out for us, and told us that if one has a testimony of those things, then everything else will fall into place.

My invitation for you is to read some of the Book of Mormon, ponder it in your hearts, and then pray to know for yourself of its truthfulness! I have found the answer for myself, and I know that if y’all do these things, and “ask with a sincere heart”, then you will find your answer as well!! I have a firm testimony in "Spirit of the Book" as Elder Godoy said. Give it a try! I'd love to hear any cool experiences y'all have.

Hey y’all!     This has been quite. the. week.      Highlights: -got to see Sister Demmerly at mission tour! -Got to spend some time with Ann at Bingo -Had a ward Christmas party, all of the primary girls decorated cookies and gave them to me. And they waited for me to eat them…. it’s so good to see that they look up to me, and want me to get obese.  -had a Christmas devotional with the whole mission -Sister Okie drew me the best picture ever of me and Morgan Wallen, and Sister Sody told a story based on the picture. Funniest comp bonding ever:) -Held the CUTEST puppy ever named Lola.     So on Friday, we were in the middle of teaching Toni. The lesson was pretty good, when all of a sudden the biggest BOOM happened. Like the blinds and doors were shaking in the house. And there was the brightest light that flashed. Longest Week EVER!!!

Hey y’all!! Oh. My. Goodness. I changed my P-day because I’m going the the temple today. I’m so happy to be going to the Lord’s house with Norma-Jean, but tell ya what I am TIRED!!! But in the best way;) Its been a kind of slow week and a half, the roads are COVERED with ice so we have not been allowed to drive. So that means: 1. doing all of our work over the phone… 2. begging members to give us rides 3. walking everywhere we go  Soooo this week we…. -did over 60 hours of phone work -had ALL of our lessons cancel on us -more than half of our member meals canceled on us -we ran out of food, money, and miles -I made sister sody so jealous because everyones little kids come and give me the biggest hug, then just stare at her…and it always happens to the people who we’ve never met. She says it’s a spiritual gift haha.  -got my fingernails painted by Dallas’ little girl named Haven.  -got our hair cut by sister kern, she’s from Salem and I had NO IDEA!! -watched “why I believ...

Hey y’all! What a week! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! I love being a missionary.  My district and I joke that it’s giving us a sliver of what being a new parent is like.  You go to bed tired, you wake up tired, all day you’re tired. But it’s okay, because you love it!!  -My family made it to Italy! They love it! Must be quite the adventure having no car, no house, and having a loaf of bread cost nearly $10…  -I have spent over 50 hours on the computer between classes, lessons, and zoom meetings with my district and my companion.  -I taught my first lesson! It’s starting to feel so real and I’m loving every minute of it.  -Had the ward trunk or treat… I love halloween so of course I had to dress up… -Had chicken and rice for dinner! I’m telling you, any type of chicken is a food that makes me proud to be an American.  -Probably drank half of my body weight of lemonade and chocolate milk… don’t worry mom. Nama and Bampa are taking good care of me! ...
