Dos Angeles

What's up squad!

(I’m not that cool, got it from my friend Emmy)

I won’t lie, this week was a little bit rough. So this email may be a little bit short.

Highlights:

☆After church Andy invited us to have a picnic with him. I will put down some of his quotes later, that guy is hilarious.

☆Actually had some member meals! usually we get 1-2 a week, but this week we had 5! I love getting to know members better. #miracles.

☆Went to Vance Air Force Base literally every day this week, probably one of my favorite places in Enid, I just wish it was Army;)

☆Became the Word of Wisdom police and raided Andy’s apartment. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!! He is trying really hard and can use any Heavenly help he can get!

☆had an exchange with the Hermanas in Spanish land, there's a Hermana who is from Honduras and doesn't speak English. So I spoke more Spanish than English that day. I even prayed for them in Spanish so that was cool. My brain hurt after the day was over. It still hurts. High school Spanish doesn't prepare you for anything, but hey it did something for me. The Holy Ghost helped me a ton.

Andy is progressing so well! We meet with him almost every day. He made it to church on Sunday, he biked like 5 miles one way… haha he parked his bike in a regular parking spot, he got there before we did!! He was really nervous about people accepting him, but when we got there he was walking an elderly lady across the parking lot, and she invited him to sit by her so I think he will be okay:)

Quotes of Andy:

**After hearing about transfers**"I'm gonna have to make some calls. Who can I call?"

"I'm not gettin no metal straws, the turtles got to quit learning to eat plastic straws. Save the dogs!"

"If anyone comes to get you girls, Andy's gonna have to repent."

John is doing pretty good too! His four year old daughter is attached to me at the hip so that’s gonna hurt the both of us when I leave… pray for him too. The Word of Wisdom is the hardest thing for him, and he could use some prayers.

Well this week, we studied "Peacemakers Needed" by President Nelson. I love it!! We need to always strive to be a peacemaker, especially in this crazy world. In it he says, "Charity is the antidote to contention."

This week I invited y'all to try to have a little bit more charity for others. If you do, I know that your lives will be full of peace.

Here's the talk! Click on it.

Okay well I guess it's not that short of an email. Everyone have a good week! Remember God loves you and so do I
