OHHHH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE!!!!

Oh my goodness what a week. It is the bestest thing ever serving the Lord and helping others come unto Him!!!



BEST PARTS OF THE WEEK!!

☆A member of our congregation took Andy to see the temple grounds (1.5 hours away!) We had no idea! He texted us pictures and he was so excited! He is so ready to be baptized and go to the temple. 

☆Fun fact: I love doorbell ditching. So we bought orange juice for Andy and doorbell ditched it. I tripped on the way down the stairs. 

☆We had Kuriah's (John's little girl) 5th birthday party! Man, that girl can swing a bat! It was so cute, she deserves the world. 

☆We had Phoenix's baptism! Absolutely no hiccups except he had to be baptized twice. BLESSINGS!

☆I HIT MY 9 MONTHS AS A MISSIONARY!!! That's actually insane. It's already halfway gone… no bueno. 

☆biked 10 miles in 24 hours. Not bad, except when you add the 100⁰ weather, your companion almost getting hit by a car, and the Oklahoma wind somehow always going against you no matter which way you go. 

☆ A nice guy in a weed hat gave us rosaries and otter pops. It was cool. 

☆I killed the biggest bug I've ever seen in the apartment. It was so scary and funny. 

☆Our mission presidents wife printed out copies of the new Preach My Gospel for us… EARLY!! It cost a lot of money, so the only downside is no food during Zone Conference for 2 transfers. But I'm totally okay with that. We’ve been challenged to spend 30 minutes in the Book of Mormon and 30 minutes in PMG a day. I am excited for this challenge, it's going to help me so much!!

☆ I counted- I have 42 mosquito bites on me. Sooo not fun at all.

What I've learned this week:)



I read this really cool talk called, "Pray Always" by Elder David A. Bednar. It really helped me understand the meaning of prayer better, and I was able to reflect on my prayer habits. I have a lot of work to do haha. 

I love how it said that prayer is a continual work. It's communication, not just something you think or say. I've been working on my prayers this week, y'all should read or listen to it! It's a good one.

Hey y’all!     This has been quite. the. week.      Highlights: -got to see Sister Demmerly at mission tour! -Got to spend some time with Ann at Bingo -Had a ward Christmas party, all of the primary girls decorated cookies and gave them to me. And they waited for me to eat them…. it’s so good to see that they look up to me, and want me to get obese.  -had a Christmas devotional with the whole mission -Sister Okie drew me the best picture ever of me and Morgan Wallen, and Sister Sody told a story based on the picture. Funniest comp bonding ever:) -Held the CUTEST puppy ever named Lola.     So on Friday, we were in the middle of teaching Toni. The lesson was pretty good, when all of a sudden the biggest BOOM happened. Like the blinds and doors were shaking in the house. And there was the brightest light that flashed. (Now I’ve been in Missouri during huge thunderstorms, I thought I’ve seen and heard it all.) I thought that WW3 was starting. No joke....

Longest Week EVER!!!

Hey y’all!! Oh. My. Goodness. I changed my P-day because I’m going the the temple today. I’m so happy to be going to the Lord’s house with Norma-Jean, but tell ya what I am TIRED!!! But in the best way;) Its been a kind of slow week and a half, the roads are COVERED with ice so we have not been allowed to drive. So that means: 1. doing all of our work over the phone… 2. begging members to give us rides 3. walking everywhere we go  Soooo this week we…. -did over 60 hours of phone work -had ALL of our lessons cancel on us -more than half of our member meals canceled on us -we ran out of food, money, and miles -I made sister sody so jealous because everyones little kids come and give me the biggest hug, then just stare at her…and it always happens to the people who we’ve never met. She says it’s a spiritual gift haha.  -got my fingernails painted by Dallas’ little girl named Haven.  -got our hair cut by sister kern, she’s from Salem and I had NO IDEA!! -watched “why I believ...

Hey y’all! What a week! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! I love being a missionary.  My district and I joke that it’s giving us a sliver of what being a new parent is like.  You go to bed tired, you wake up tired, all day you’re tired. But it’s okay, because you love it!!  -My family made it to Italy! They love it! Must be quite the adventure having no car, no house, and having a loaf of bread cost nearly $10…  -I have spent over 50 hours on the computer between classes, lessons, and zoom meetings with my district and my companion.  -I taught my first lesson! It’s starting to feel so real and I’m loving every minute of it.  -Had the ward trunk or treat… I love halloween so of course I had to dress up… -Had chicken and rice for dinner! I’m telling you, any type of chicken is a food that makes me proud to be an American.  -Probably drank half of my body weight of lemonade and chocolate milk… don’t worry mom. Nama and Bampa are taking good care of me! ...
