Fake Fall And Wasps And Jukeboxes

Okay this week was wild and rad, the mission is just the bestest thing ever. It's been pretty warm here, but because of all of the rain, not too bad. I think it only went above 100⁰ twice, which is really good here. 



☆Sister Rassy got stung by a wasp:( she was running her fingers through her hair and the wasp was caught in her hair. And worst thing, it was in the car and wouldn't leave! After some phone calls, Sister Redd came and drove us to the pharmacy, and she beat it with a fly swatter even after it was already dead, all is good in the sista hood.

☆we had 2 exchanges! I love being an STL, it is the best thing ever to minister to the ministers. The first was pretty good, but the second was the bestest because I got to go with SISTER ALLEN!!!! I adore her. We took so many pictures, listened to music on a jukebox at a member dinner, stood on dirt mounds, and laughed our heads off.

☆we made 4 new friends! So wild, 3 of them were from Andy!! 

☆There was a day where it was by all means not cold at all, but raining a ton. So Sister Rassy and I put on sweaters, boots, and dressed up all ready for fall. And then we went to starbies and got hot chocolate and did phone work. We are so ready for fall it's unbelievable the things that we do. Even with the rain it was 80⁰ outside, we just wanted it for the aesthetic.



I can't say it enough, Sister Allen is so cool, and so in tune with the Spirit. During comp study, we were deciding what to share for our member meal. I showed her a cute video about being angels in people's lives, and we went with it. But as we were about to watch, she pulled up a completely different video. I had seen it before, and it was a pretty good one. 

The video is called "Pray for Eyes to See as He Sees", and it talks about how being present and looking to make positive changes in your habits, and in people's lives. It brought the Spirit so strong, I cried a little. I felt the love from Heavenly Father, and remembered times where others had gotten promptings to give my life a little more sunshine, and it made all the difference. 

My invitation for you is to watch the video, and see what you can do to further be an instrument in God's hands to bless the lives of others. Pray for eyes to see!!

Hey y’all!     This has been quite. the. week.      Highlights: -got to see Sister Demmerly at mission tour! -Got to spend some time with Ann at Bingo -Had a ward Christmas party, all of the primary girls decorated cookies and gave them to me. And they waited for me to eat them…. it’s so good to see that they look up to me, and want me to get obese.  -had a Christmas devotional with the whole mission -Sister Okie drew me the best picture ever of me and Morgan Wallen, and Sister Sody told a story based on the picture. Funniest comp bonding ever:) -Held the CUTEST puppy ever named Lola.     So on Friday, we were in the middle of teaching Toni. The lesson was pretty good, when all of a sudden the biggest BOOM happened. Like the blinds and doors were shaking in the house. And there was the brightest light that flashed. (Now I’ve been in Missouri during huge thunderstorms, I thought I’ve seen and heard it all.) I thought that WW3 was starting. No joke....

Longest Week EVER!!!

Hey y’all!! Oh. My. Goodness. I changed my P-day because I’m going the the temple today. I’m so happy to be going to the Lord’s house with Norma-Jean, but tell ya what I am TIRED!!! But in the best way;) Its been a kind of slow week and a half, the roads are COVERED with ice so we have not been allowed to drive. So that means: 1. doing all of our work over the phone… 2. begging members to give us rides 3. walking everywhere we go  Soooo this week we…. -did over 60 hours of phone work -had ALL of our lessons cancel on us -more than half of our member meals canceled on us -we ran out of food, money, and miles -I made sister sody so jealous because everyones little kids come and give me the biggest hug, then just stare at her…and it always happens to the people who we’ve never met. She says it’s a spiritual gift haha.  -got my fingernails painted by Dallas’ little girl named Haven.  -got our hair cut by sister kern, she’s from Salem and I had NO IDEA!! -watched “why I believ...

Hey y’all! What a week! Hope you all had a happy Halloween! I love being a missionary.  My district and I joke that it’s giving us a sliver of what being a new parent is like.  You go to bed tired, you wake up tired, all day you’re tired. But it’s okay, because you love it!!  -My family made it to Italy! They love it! Must be quite the adventure having no car, no house, and having a loaf of bread cost nearly $10…  -I have spent over 50 hours on the computer between classes, lessons, and zoom meetings with my district and my companion.  -I taught my first lesson! It’s starting to feel so real and I’m loving every minute of it.  -Had the ward trunk or treat… I love halloween so of course I had to dress up… -Had chicken and rice for dinner! I’m telling you, any type of chicken is a food that makes me proud to be an American.  -Probably drank half of my body weight of lemonade and chocolate milk… don’t worry mom.
