Continue In Patience

Howdy hey y'all. I won't lie, I don't remember a ton from this week, it was a whirlwind.

☆I'm getting over one of my biggest fears…🐍. One of our new members has a boa named Ghost, he's 4 ft long and I HELD HIM!!! That's a huge milestone for me right there, Amelia you'll be so proud;)

☆We went out to eat with the Stanfields, one of the funniest families in Norman. I've loved catching up with the members here.

☆it's finally getting warm here! Nice and in the 70s-80s!! I love missionary work, but even more when you can talk to people all day outside!!

☆had a galentines day with the hermanas and the stls! It was so good to see Sister Hay!

☆the Dummers had us over for a Valentines day dinner, we made chocolate covered strawberries and ate yummy food. Love them!

☆ had dinner with the one and only brother gorshe. What a guy.

I'm staying in Norman with Sister Herbst! Sister Macbeth is leaving to another area a couple hours away from here.

I've done a ton of studying on Christlike attributes this week, so I'll share some of my thoughts on patience.

Patience is a hard one. Sometimes I feel like I have patience until God gives me a situation that requires patience and I realize that I don't have as much as I would like. I love the talk, “Continue in Patience” by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

The main thing that's been on my mind is the realization that if we are going to reach our full potential as beloved children of God, we need to learn to be patient. Being patient doesn't mean to just wait, but to endure struggles with faith, grace, and fortitude.

“The work of patience boils down to this: keep the commandments; trust in God, our Heavenly Father; serve Him with meekness and Christlike love; exercise faith and hope in the Savior; and never give up. The lessons we learn from patience will cultivate our character, lift our lives, and heighten our happiness. They will help us to become worthy priesthood bearers and faithful disciples of our Master, Jesus Christ.”

My invitation is to read/listen to that talk, it'll just make your day, I promise. Look, I made it easy for you
