Full To The Brim With joy!

Happy Friday! My P-day changed to today for this week because we are taking Judd to the temple! I'm so excited to spend some time in the house of the Lord, if you haven't been in the past week you should definitely go because it's the best place ever!
Also sorry in advance this is gonna be long.

☆Taylor got baptized! She's technically in another ward, but she met us at Stake conference and invited us to her baptism! We brought Israel so that he could see what a baptism looks like, the Spirit was so strong. Taylor is the sweetest person ever! Another funny part, this family came up to me and asked if I knew Sister Snelgrove. I told them I was one of her trainers, and turns out the dad is her uncle. Their son met Taylor on a cruise (and 100% has the hots for her) and gave her a Book of Mormon. You never know how a conversation and simple act can impact someone's life!
☆We biked 54 miles this week. I actually love biking, so it wasn't bad at all. Just some extra time to ponder and get a work out in lol
☆Interviews with President Hugues were on Tuesday, it was so good to be able to counsel with him and Sister Hugues. I love them

Friends on date:
Israel- okay this kid. We've extended the invitation for him to read a chapter a day from the Book of Mormon, and to highlight any time that Christ is mentioned. It's been cool following up with him, and to see his progress. He doesn't have a lot of a religious background, but he goes into depth with the scriptures and brings up things in our lessons that for sure went right over my head the first time I read the Book of Mormon. He has the best questions, and always expresses his gratitude for us taking the time to help him gain a relationship with Jesus Christ. His dad is a little unsure about him getting baptized, and even though he's 18 and doesn't need permission, we're still working on addressing his concerns. So please pray for Israel and Juan!
Michael- Roller coaster of a week for him! He had to have a pretty big surgery on his foot, and to be able to make his baptismal date he needed to make it to church the following Sunday. On Friday we fasted for him, and got him a ride, and got him a wheelchair that was lying around at the church, and he made it!
But sad news, he can't get baptized on that date anyways because he won't be able to get his foot wet with his stitches and bandages so that was sad. But keep him in your prayers please, we're continuing to help him grow and prepare to make sacred covenants.

Epic fail:
Okay, a little background. I've realized that some foods make me not feel awesome, and to be able to stay on top of my health, I've decided to not eat gluten, dairy, and watch my sugar intake.
We fasted on Friday, and also biked 14 miles. Not a good idea. But by the time dinner rolled around, my comps suggested we go to Popeyes. I've never been there so why not? I figured that since I had done really good the whole week, I could have a cheat meal… yeah nope.
Gluten apparently makes my brain foggy, and so for Israel's whole lesson I would literally forget what I was saying mid sentence. It was soooo embarrassing and funny. So for yall out there who have no common sense like me: don't eat something you're sensitive to after 22 hours of Fasting and 14 miles of bike riding…

This week I've been thinking about how much joy the gospel brings. We were teaching Israel and he told us that he couldn't really explain it, but reading the Book of Mormon and praying just made him happier, and that his day would be so much better when he read verses when he didn't. We got to teach him the plan of salvation (my favorite lesson to teach) and we discussed how this life is about having true joy through living the gospel.
In Mission Home Evening on Monday, President Hugues shared Alma 26:11:
But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
I love the part that says “my heart is brim with joy”. At first I read, “my heart is filled to the brim with joy” and that made me happy.
How do we fill our hearts to the brim with joy? I believe it's by the small and simple things we do, and by rejoicing in our God.
GOD LOVES US! He knows us individually and knows what to put in our lives to give us eternal joy. He's given us so much to be joyful about. Even though hard things happen in life, we have way too many good things to fill our hearts with joy.
My invitation to y'all this week is to find what fills your heart to the brim with joy! This life is about joy! I'd love to hear what y'all have to say:)
Have an awesome blossom week! Remember Jesus loves you and so do I!
