Holy Week♡
Hey y'all! Happy Holy week!
☆On Thursday we went to the temple! It was amazing as usual, but I had an extra special surprise… Sister Rassy was there too!! We literally cried tears of joy when we saw each other. One of the best hugs I've gotten since coming back to the field.
☆ We met Barry Switzer! We were sitting in the midway deli shop, and the waiter told us we were sitting at THE Barry Switzer's table. I was like “yeah right he's not gonna show up.” I kid you not, 10 minutes later, the man himself comes and says hi to us and sits down right next to us. We talked about our mission work, and of course we got a picture. (His superbowl ring was HUGE)
☆went to the Kunz family farm, their family is so fun, and of course holding all of the animals is cute too. I held a super huge turkey that totally didn't hit me in the face after…
Please pray for Cory to get a job that allows Sundays off please. He's working so hard towards baptism and needs prayers♡
Well, it's holy week, and I have so much love for the Savior. I'm learning even more about the last week of His mortal life.
What a gift that we have a big brother who was willing to live, suffer, die, and live again, just so that we can have the chance to live with our Heavenly Father again.
One invitation I remember from last year was to make 3 Nephi 11 the Luke 2 of Easter. I love that chapter, it's when Jesus Christ shows Himself to the Ancient Americas.
Here's one if my favorite parts:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
Even though I wasn't there, I've felt His hands and feet through others around me, the scriptures, and the Spirit that I feel as I keep the covenants that I've made.
Make it a priority this week to feel the prints in His hands, however works for you.
God loves you and so do I!
