...TEXAS?

Howdy y’all!

So. Many. Things. This week. So we will go straight into it.

☆Thursday was Sister Skarstedt’s birthday! We had a wonderful day celebrating her by working our consecrated buns off. It was awesome, so many tender mercies. We ran into the pentecostal family and they gave us wings and we taught a lesson!

☆Spent tons of time with the Norman 1 elders in pass off lessons because we passed of literally ⅓ of our friends to them. Boo but thats okay.

☆So many miracles that reminded me that God is aware, and that He loves.

☆Said bye to the Dummers so now we are a bit emo inside.

☆ I got to be a part of Sister Allen's special day in spirit! I'm so thankful for friends like her. She was my comp over a year ago and I just adore her!

Something I’ve been focusing on lately was a quote that our friend Justin said, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing poorly.” That just seems backwards, right? I like it because I have a lot of perfectionist tendencies. I get too stressed out about the little things and then I don’t get to the big things.

But as I was thinking about it, Christ doesn’t want things done perfect. Our job is just to do our best, and He will take care of the rest.

I won’t lie, I thought that going back to the mission after my surgery would be a blast, I’d be put with my bestie comps, and I’d have a party and a half serving the Lord and working off.

It’s been the exact opposite, to put it nicely. I talked to my mission President about how hard it’s been for me. He agrees, I’ve been put through the wringer. But, we talked about how I can make Christ my companion and take His yoke upon me. He told me all I needed to do was my very best, every day. It doesn’t have to be perfect, because if it was, we wouldn’t need the Savior.

So, y’all rejoice in the fact that we don’t have to be perfect! We are enough when we give it our all. This work is worth doing, even if sometimes it’s not done perfectly.

Hope that made even a little bit of sense lol.

TRANSFER NEWS

Sister Skarstedt will be getting a new trainer in Norman 24…

And I’m going to the promised land of TEXAS!! Lake Wichita is an STL area, so I’ll be in the MLC again! I’M SO EXCITED!! The only thing is I have an irrational fear of gators, so if you have an extra second pray that I don’t see any…

God loves you and so do I!
