Me + Jesus = Perfect

What a miracle filled week. I know that God lives, He is watching over us, and He loves us!!

☆Dana has told us that she is ready to be baptized! We are so so excited for her. She took the time to pray and ask if the Book of Mormon is true and if Joseph Smith really was a prophet. And she got her answer! Seeing her open up about repentance and how Christ has changed her so far changed my life. This Gospel is so real, and I'm so blessed to be sharing it.

☆We had a lot of departing testimonies this week, it’s kinda funny how the people I trained are now going home and I’m still here. It feels weird, but I’m so excited to be here one more transfer. Big things are coming to the OOCM!

Sister Caporale and I are staying together for my last transfer! I'm so pumped to finish with such a stellar comp!

This week I’ve been thinking about what it takes to grow our faith. Going way back to our mission tour with Elder Schmitt, he talked a lot about how our faith in the Savior can grow through our missionary work. He said he’s not good at math, but he made some pretty good equations…

exercise faith = work hard

me + Jesus = perfect

To gain more faith, we need to be doing things that require more faith. Working harder than the amount of faith that you currently have will help you grow your faith muscles. My companion and I have been thinking a lot this week, “If we had just a little more faith, what kind of things would we accomplish today?”

And then we did it. We stopped people in their cars, they were interested. We listened to the Spirit, and found someone who had been on date for baptism in another town who we would’ve never met if we didn’t exercise that faith.

But, we aren’t perfect. Sometimes we’re slightly off tune with what the Spirit is telling us, or another trial comes into our view. And that’s where Christ comes in to perfect our efforts. He enables us to do what needs to be done. The power to make the things that need to happen come to pass is only through Jesus Christ. I’m so thankful that I’m not in just a duo on my mission. But we truly have Jesus Christ as our senior companion. I'm so thankful for Him.

Everyone have a blessed week! God loves you and so do I!
