Happy Faith Farmers
Howdy Hey! This week was so good! Let me tell ya about it!
☆We got to celebrate Sister Caporale’s big 20! woot woot! Texas Roadhouse in Texas is a good way to go on a July Saturday night…
☆Please continue to pray for Dana! We are going full steam ahead to her baptism on Saturday at noon. We are so excited!!!
☆Can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this yet, but 2 week in a row we’ve gone to the Wichita Mountains. It’s been so fun to spend time with other missionaries! Medicine park, Mt. Scott, and super fun things in between! (Riverside cafe and the drink place across the street are the best places to go. Get the okie burger)
☆Owen G. made us the cutest little crosses that says "Jesus loves you" my heart!!
This week I want to share a little bit about a training that my mission president gave on Tuesday. His trainings are always bomb, so how could I not share?
As children of God, we all have such a divine potential. We have the availability to receive all kinds of gifts and blessings from our Heavenly Father- of course in His time, and according to His will. But one of the biggest things that hold us back from receiving all of those blessings available is our own personal faith and obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
President said something that I love. He said to always have the Savior be the center of our lives, which means that we have integrity, being “Humble in the light, and true in the Dark.” Obedience is just as important when we are alone as it is when we are surrounded by others.
I loved when he had us turn to the bible dictionary, under Faith. A snippet says, “true faith always moves its possessor to some kind of physical and mental action; it carries an assurance of the fulfillment of the things hoped for. A lack of faith leads one to despair, which comes because of iniquity.”
Our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy!
Faith + Obedience = HAPPY!!!
Back to the Bible Dictionary, “Although faith is a gift, it must be cultured and sought after until it grows from a tiny seed to a great tree.” President Hugues then told us, “We are the farmers cultivating our own faith!” Oh, how true that is! When we are obedient to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will be the happiest faith growing farmers on this earth!! I know it!!
President Hugues then invited us to decide NOW to unite ourselves to the work and the Savior for the rest of our missions, and the rest of our lives.
My invitation this week is the same. Please, choose today to unite yourself with the Savior. Choose to believe in Him! Let your belief influence your daily, hourly, minute decisions. I know that as we do this, we will receive every blessing possible that our Loving Heavenly Father has to offer us.
God loves you and so do I! Have the best week everyone!
