Image
I hope y’all had a Merry Christmas! I’ll tell ya what, Christmas as a missionary is the best thing ever!!     Highlights: made gingerbread houses at the Stanfields had literally the BIGGEST miracle EVER happen, I even recorded a voice memo that I’ll attach. Dont judge cuz we were absolutely shook haha. ate banana splits for dinner on christmas eve received an insane amount of junk food from neighbors and ward members Dressed up as wise men Gave treats to neighbors     So much has happened this week!      On Thursday we had the opportunity to go to the temple. We went to the church first with all of the other missionaries. President and Sister Huges fed us lunch. Then they had a bunch of stuff for us to do. (they signed their kids up to paint our nails and shine our shoes, it was cute haha) They didn’t stop the Elders from getting their nails painted…. so some of them kinda went crazy, it was hilarious. We also got to watch the Christmas episode of “The...

Tornado Of A Week

Image
Hey y’all! Hope everyone has had an awesome week!     Nancy got baptized this week! The spirit was so strong. Her husband got to baptize and confirm her. Sister Soderborg played the uke and I sang. Such a special day! Also, she told us that she was pregnant! It’s a boy! We are so excited for their little family.      Highlights: -We had 4 tornado warnings this week. They were during the night, and all three of us slept through them so that was fun. Mission tiredness hits differently, we value our sleep more than our safety I guess… -We had exchanges this week, it was awesome! I learned some more songs on the ukulele.  -Had the BUSIEST day I’ve had in my entire life! We had an hour of role plays, an hour of cleaning out a hoarder’s home, interviews with the President, 4 lessons, District council, and a member dinner. ALL running off of 4 hours of sleep because a fire truck was right outside of our window until past 1. (for those about to serve/thinking about...

And they waited for me to eat them…. it’s so good to see that they look up to me, and want me to get obese.  -had a Christmas devotional with the whole mission -Sister Okie drew me the best picture ever of me and Morgan Wallen, and Sister Sody told a story based on the picture. Funniest comp bonding ever:) -Held the CUTEST puppy ever named Lola.     So on Friday, we were in the middle of teaching Toni. The lesson was pretty good, when all of a sudden the biggest BOOM happened. Like the blinds and doors were shaking in the house. And there was the brightest light that flashed. (Now I’ve been in Missouri during huge thunderstorms, I thought I’ve seen and heard it all.) I thought that WW3 was starting. No joke....

Tri-Zone Conference!!

Image
Hello everyone!!! Oh my goodness this week was absolutely insane. HAPPY DECEMBER!! Christmas is right around the corner and I could not be happier.  We had Tri-Zone Conference this week! We had so many spiritual uplifting talks and trainings. For those who don’t know, Zone Conference is basically where a big group of missionaries gather together at the church or somewhere and get pumped up and motivated about the work, and to receive revelation for yourself as a missionary and as a companionship. The church building was pretty cool, it looked like a 70s log cabin haha. We talked about being more bold in inviting people to be baptized, and to bring up baptism in every encounter with people. So my comps and I will be working on that.  After the meeting ended we were just talking and this Elder comes up to me and goes “Hey! I know you!” It startled me so bad haha y’all know how easily I get jump scared. I read his nametag and I remembered him too. He was in my fourth grade class,...
