Hey everyone! Hope you had a good week! Mine was a little tiring so this is gonna be mega short so I can take a nap. ☆we had a referral (Paul) that we had been trying to get a hold of for a little, and just as we were going to stop teaching him, we decided to try one more time to go over to his house. We knocked on the door but Paul didn't answer… but Johnny did! He wanted to be taught so we decided on coming back a few days later. Fast forward, we knocked on the door trying to find Johnny. Johnny didn't answer… but we saw Marcus and started talking to him! Next thing we know, all three are sitting with us, and we are teaching them about the Restoration. They love it! 3 new friends, and they are all friends!!  ☆exchanges with Sister Maughn was amazing. I love her! We had soo much fun and so much success. There was a cool lady named Theresa, and while we were talking to her I had the randomest prompting to ask her about life after death. She started to tear up and said that her ...

More Miracles♡

Howdy, y’all! What a week. A member told me that they saw an alligator in Oklahoma and now I’m a little nervy. I thought I was safe from them… (They're one of my irrational fears, I have nightmares about them like once a week. If someone wants to google that and tell me what that means I’d love to hear about it.)   We strive to make at least one new friend a day, and one day it was getting dark and we still hadn’t made a friend. There was a referral that we had a hard time getting a hold of, but we decided that we would try to find her apartment and talk to her. We couldn’t find her apartment, but after praying, I felt the strongest impression to just start knocking doors. We don’t really knock doors in this mission, but we wanted a miracle and got moving. We picked a building and knocked on every door looking for Danielle. But after a lot of, “I don’t know Danielle” and “leave me alone, I’ve got my church”, we got to the last door. We said a prayer for whoever was in the apartment...

Conference Thoughts♡

Hey y’all! What a year this week has been:) ☆transfer day! I saw some of my best friends, it was a little hard to see the group that I came out with go home, I won't lie. We sang them “God be with you til we meet again” while they wore leis, and I shed some bittersweet tears. But I'm so blessed that I get to be a part of this beautiful work for a little while longer.  ☆my trainee’s name is Sister Skarstedt! (Think of “homestead”, but Scar.) She's from Saratoga Springs, Utah. She's not shy at all when it comes to the ward, and people on the street, so I'm pretty lucky in that regard!  ☆we were walking in the streets a little before dinner and it started POURING with absolutely no warning. After a long sprint to our car, trying to find a members apartment, and me tripping into a puddle, the sweet sister feeding us met us at the door with towels and dried our jackets in her dryer while we were eating. Oh how I love the members and their hospitality.  I'm so thankfu...

Hey y’all! Sorry the day got away from me so a super quick update! ☆We put Danielle and Aroara on date for baptism! We are so excited to help them develop a closer relationship with Christ. Please pray for them! ☆We were walking down the street, and an older man started talking to us. He told us about his wife and we went inside to meet her. Turns out their son is a member, and now we are teaching them! Pray for Dan and Vicky! ☆Easter was amazing. I felt Christ’s love for me so strongly in both wards, I can’t even put into words. The Balkman’s in fourth ward hold an Easter dinner every year, and this is my 2nd year going! Haha it’s becoming an Easter tradition for me now.  ☆All of the missionaries in my arrival group gave their departing testimonies. They’ve all grown so much. It’s a little bittersweet having a lot of my friends leave the mission, but I am so excited that I still have a few more months! T-DOC  I’m staying in Norman, Sister Herbst is going to Shawnee. And my ne...
