Transfer Doctrine....

Oh my goodness what a good week to be alive. God is so good, I love my companion, and my mission President is the funniest guy ever. I can't complain.

Highlights:

☆Sister Lee and I installed blinds all by ourselves!! We are so proud of us

☆we went to Freddy's to do facebook and a worker came and gave us free fries!!

☆BROTHER HAWKLEY CONVERTED CHUCK!!! Brother Hawkley is a funny single Airforce dude, 27 years old, and introduces his family of three as, "me, myself, and I." He's a "threat to society" since he graduated from BYU with absolutely no prospects. (All of that was his own words straight from the pulpit) Chuck is an old man who is just too funny. Your average baptist old man. But Brother Hawkley and him talked the entire lesson, (I spoke 7 words) and he invited him to be baptized. WE COULDN'T EVEN GET THE MAN TO CHURCH!! LOW AND BEHOLD CHUCK WAS AT CHURCH THE NEXT DAY.

☆The Marshallese Elders came over to bless our apartment since some creepy things were happening. We feel so good and protected now!!

☆I played some Just Dance because the Glasco boys sat still (better than usual) for their lesson, and that was my end of the deal. Of course I won

☆Iris, who works at Walmart, gave us some angel earrings. She's too cute.

☆ almost fell through our deck, it's rotted haha.

☆met Sooo many Marshallese people. Thank goodness for the Elders because the only things I know how to say in Marshallese is Jesus Christ, Hi, bye, and I love you. Not the most helpful. And I know a couple steps of Hula. Also not helpful.

Spiritual Thought:

This week’s ponderings come from a Tuesday Morning Training given by the one and only President Hugues. He talked about getting in shape physically. To receive maximum benefit, you need consistency, purpose, and a plan in place.

He then showed us a video of Elder David A. Bednar, these are some of his words:

"Taking action is the exercise of faith. The children of Israel are carrying the ark of the covenant. They come to the River Jordan. The promise is they will cross over on dry land. When does the water part? When their feet are wet. They walk into the river—act. Power follows—the water parts. We oftentimes believe, “Okay, I’m going to have this perfect understanding, and then I’m going to transform that into what I do.” I would suggest that we have enough to get started. We have a sense of the right direction. Faith is a principle—the principle—of action and of power. True faith is focused in and on the Lord Jesus Christ and always leads to action."

I loved these words, sometimes I feel like I don’t have what it takes to help the people that God places in my path. I have a lot of feelings of inadequacy because of my perfectionism. It's something I struggle with every day. But every day I choose to get up and get going because, "if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith." (Ether 12:12). If I "get my feet wet", then God will part the waters of life for me. God has also promised that, “it shall come to pass, that inasmuch as they are faithful, and exercise faith in me, I will pour out my Spirit upon them in the day…” (Doctrine and Covenants 44:2). Let’s all choose to be on God’s side by exercising faith in Him, and His divine plan for us!

T-DOC NEWS

I will be staying in the blessed town of Enid as an STL.

I will be training a new STL, Sister Rasmussen. (I actually guessed her, the Zone was shocked haha)

Bestie Gorl Sister Lee will be going to the Norman Zone to be an STL there, and is also training a new missionary!!

I'm pretty sad with this one, I absolutely adore Sister Lee. But I know that this is inspired by God, so I can't argue.

Well that's it for this week folks. God loves ya!
