Me + Jesus = Perfect

What a miracle filled week. I know that God lives, He is watching over us, and He loves us!!  ☆Dana has told us that she is ready to be baptized! We are so so excited for her. She took the time to pray and ask if the Book of Mormon is true and if Joseph Smith really was a prophet. And she got her answer! Seeing her open up about repentance and how Christ has changed her so far changed my life. This Gospel is so real, and I'm so blessed to be sharing it.  ☆We had a lot of departing testimonies this week, it’s kinda funny how the people I trained are now going home and I’m still here. It feels weird, but I’m so excited to be here one more transfer. Big things are coming to the OOCM! T-DOC Sister Caporale and I are staying together for my last transfer! I'm so pumped to finish with such a stellar comp!  This week I’ve been thinking about what it takes to grow our faith. Going way back to our mission tour with Elder Schmitt, he talked a lot about how our faith in the Savior c...

Love Y'all!

Hey hey!  This week has definitely been one of the more interesting ones… Epic Fail: We had an exchange with the sisters up in Lawton Oklahoma from Thursday to Friday.  It went really well, but when I woke up that morning I had a tonnn of little bites. We aren't super sure what bit me (and not a single one on my comp) but it was enough to make me have a fever and have to go to urgent care. I got a steroid shot in my hip- it hurt sooo bad- and was given some steroid pills. We counted over 50 bites. I'm doing so much better now, but we have medical miles since I can't bike for a couple of days. What an adventure! The work still moves forward! ☆We met a family! The Grants are so amazing. They had so many good questions for us, and wanted us to come back to teach them! They loved the children's Bible and Book of Mormon picture book that we read with them. And sooo cool after we were done, they asked if we accepted gifts and gave us the cutest missionary care packages! The m...

"Lazarus, Come Forth..."

Hey Hey! This week went by WAYYY too fast! We had a mission tour with Elder John Schmitt and his wife, and it was AMAZING! If I wrote all of my thoughts, you’d be reading for like weeks- so we are going to do that. I’ll share a little bit each week. It’s worth it, I promise! This week I’ll share what we learned in MLC with him. He first shared the story of when Jesus brings Lazarus from the dead saying, “Lazarus, come forth.” (John 11: 43) To be in Lazarus’ shoes… quite the experience.  He turns the focus to Elder Holland, one of the most urgent, hard working men on this earth. He was already SO urgent, but even he said in his last general conference address, “Virtually all my experience in the hospital during that first period is lost to my memory. What is not lost is my memory of a journey outside the hospital, out to what seemed the edge of eternity. I cannot speak fully of that experience here, but I can say that part of what I received was an admonition to return to my ministr...

You Are His Light!

Howdy! Another great week in the work of the Lord!  ☆Some more crazy storms in the area! We lost power for several hours, and flooding was pretty bad, but other than that we were all okay! We had a 2 hour drive that day, and we got a free car wash x5 to say the least haha. ☆We found a family who has been less active, and they want to come to church more often. They have 4 little girls so I fit right in. I love them! When we talked about being sealed as a family, their eyes lit up. No words. ☆I learned that in Texas, there's no beans in chili. Hmm. If there's beans, it's not chili.  ☆Stake Conference was on Sunday! We had the opportunity to welcome Elder Lewis of the Seventy and his wife for the weekend. We went to the Leadership meeting (which was AMAZING) and the evening session. Lemme tell ya, Southern Linger Longers are INSANE. I probably gained 10 lbs and I don't regret it one bit. We learned about Christlike leadership and how we can show others that we love them. ...
