Jesus Is Cool.

Image
This week was WILD! (For real this week) We had soooo many miracles.   Today marks THREE MONTHS OF BEING A MISSIONARY!! So here’s three things I’ve learned;) 1. Eight hours of sleep just doesn’t cut it anymore.  2. I can do literally anything with the help of Jesus Christ, and literally nothing without Him. 3. God’s hand is in EVERYTHING!! This life is just too cool.  -Harold texted us and told us he didn't want to take lessons from us anymore. We were emo the rest of the night.  -I saw this guy while street contacting, and he said he was too busy to talk since he had to catch the bus. We started going our separate ways, but I had the prompting to follow him. He was about a quarter mile down the road at this point (mans a fast walker) so I literally sprinted the entire way- like a weirdo- and left my comps in the dust lol. I guess cross country paid off haha. I caught up to him and asked if I could walk with him to the bus, and he said that he meant enough for m...

Funny Okies

Hey y’all!! What a crazy good week filled with shenanigans, miracles, and funny okies.  Toni got baptized, whoohoo! So many miracles happened that day, it was insane. Toni is an 81 year old who has had 3 brain aneurysms, died and came back to life, and has Dementia. That right there is enough stress for the day. Everything that happened was so out of the water not what the average missionary experiences on baptism day, (if you’re that curious, you can email me and I’ll tell ya) but we know that we had God on our side haha. Sis Sody played the uke and I sang, and overall it was a beautiful service. Sister Williams took us to Braums to celebrate after, and told us basically the entire history of the business. Good day.  Highlights: ☆We had a Tri-Zone Conference this week! We talked about the Holy Ghost and making sacred covenants. It was awesome!! ☆One of our friends pulled up anti right in the middle of our lesson, but still wants to meet with us…we have some choices to make wi...

WILD WEEK

Image
Hello everyone!! THANK YOU so much for the birthday wishes!! It honestly meant the world to me. Y’all are so sweet haha.      This week was WILD!! Literally right after I sent last week’s email, we had a tornado watch. We were supposed to take Sister Allen back to OU but President said to just do it in the morning. So we went home, and when we pulled up to our building, there was an alarm going off. We were all like, “that must be annoying for those people’s neighbors…” Then as we got closer we realized that it was US!! It was our Carbon Monoxide alarm!! So basically, after some calls, a chicken quesadilla at the Kartchner’s home, all three of us having headaches because we were paranoid, a visit from the firefighters, and us saying our last words on camera in case we didn’t wake up the next morning (sister sody’s idea, they’re pretty hilarious to watch now)-- turns out the alarm was FIVE YEARS EXPIRED!!!!! That was the housing coordinator’s job apparently so it was an in...

Sister Allen!!

Image
Happy New Year Y’all!!     On Wednesday we had transfers. Sister Okie left for Texas, but we got Sister Allen for a couple of days since her companion is sick. Boy is she a hoot. We have had so much fun together. I want her to be my comp in the future so badly. We are trying to convince President, but the Lord has the final say. We put Harold on date!! February 4th, mark your calendars haha. We had a lesson scheduled on Tuesday, no show. We called, no answer. The next day we got a text from a different number saying that his phone broke, and this was his new number. We had an opening for that night, so we rescheduled. Showed up at the church, no sign of Harold. No answer either. We were starting to get really scared, so we prayed really hard for some kind of miracle to happen. The next morning a third number called us. HAROLDS PHONE BROKE 2 TIMES IN 3 DAYS. Talk about fiery darts of the adversary. But we got to meet with him and we are just so excited.      High...
