Hey y’all, This week has been all over the place, I’ll start off with some happy things first: ☆went to Lake Thunderbird to make some visits. The lake was a total let down, the locals call it Lake Dirtybird… ☆Had my first ACTUAL tornado. It touched down in Norman, about 5 miles away from where we were just on the other side of town. Slight damage, but we just got the 80 mph winds! ☆I'm not so sure why, but everyone here spray paints their lawns a blueish-green. If anyone has any ideas why I'd love to hear them.  This week I received some hard news that a dear friend of mine, Erica Maestas, took her life. Anyone who had the chance to know her will always be so greatly blessed. She was on my xc/track team, was in a couple of my dance groups, and spent some hours in the library with me as a homework buddy. I loved her sense of humor, love for fashion, and her way of making others feel loved. She will be greatly missed. Please keep the Maestas family in your prayers.  Today my spi...

Hey hey y'all!  Hope y'all had a happy Valentines day!! This week was WILD so let's get into it.  Highlights! ☆The Primary boys gave us a card for Valentine’s Day. It was so cute! ☆Made some sugar cookies and delivered them to friends and ward members. ☆Walked Brother Gorshe’s dog Louie. He is so sweet, but just as hyper. He bit me in the bum. #WalkLouieWednesday ☆Got a neck massage by a lady at wickshire named Vera. It was less of an invitation and more of a threat if I didn't let her. She thinks I need physical therapy because my neck is messed up… ☆An Elder made me cry during role plays at district council because I was trying so hard not to laugh. ☆Half of the people at wickshire wanted to give us tours of their rooms, so we got the whole deal haha.  ☆President announced that we were allowed to go to the temple QUARTERLY!!! That is seriously the biggest blessing ever!! ☆Went to a baptismal service, Salisa and Brae entered into the water and made covenants with God...

Hey y’all! Wow, what a week full of laughs, miracles, goodbyes, and hellos!!  Highlights: ☆Had Sister Sody’s last p-day! We went to a German restaurant called “Das Boot Camp.” They serve beer in boot mugs, and I was kind of bummed when they told me that I couldn’t drink Dr. Pepper out of a boot since I’m not 21. But hey, the Schnitzel and Spaetzle made up for it.  ☆The Yosts made an obituary for Sister Sody, she really made an impact here in Norman.  ☆Had the best lesson with Eric, I’m so excited for everything in store for him.  ☆Said bye to Sister Sody… But a happy hello to SISTER ALLEN!! And we got our new missionary, SISTER HAY!! She is just too cute.  ☆Listened to a song that a guy named Robert sent Sister Allen on Facebook… “love like Jesus” I think we should upload it to Itunes.  ☆SAW PATTY!!! Hello Everyone!!! What a wonderful two days it has been in the land of Norman, but kind of stressful as well. Definitely super good tho.  Highlights: ☆Took Jean to the temple!! We did baptisms for her mom and her aunt. The Spirit was so strong, and she said that it was an answer to her prayers.  ☆The Stanfields made Sister Sody a HUGE cookie since she’s dying! It was so cute and funny. ☆We got the best compliment from one of the youth during testimony meeting. His name is Christian. “The Sister Missionaries come to our house and BAM!! SPIRIT!!” ☆Sister Sody had her farewell “gathering”. It was so funny, we took pictures for literally an hour straight. ☆Had an amazing pass off lesson with Courtney and the OU sisters.  T-DOC NEWS dun dun dun…. I'm staying in Norman My companion is SISTER ALLEN!! I AM TRAINING A BRAND NEW MISSIONARY!!!! Wow!!! I just finished training and I'm training!!! I absolutely adore Sister Allen, and I know that her and I will do good things together ...

Hey y’all!! Oh. My. Goodness. I changed my P-day because I’m going the the temple today. I’m so happy to be going to the Lord’s house with Norma-Jean, but tell ya what I am TIRED!!! But in the best way;) Its been a kind of slow week and a half, the roads are COVERED with ice so we have not been allowed to drive. So that means: 1. doing all of our work over the phone… 2. begging members to give us rides 3. walking everywhere we go  Soooo this week we…. -did over 60 hours of phone work -had ALL of our lessons cancel on us -more than half of our member meals canceled on us -we ran out of food, money, and miles -I made sister sody so jealous because everyones little kids come and give me the biggest hug, then just stare at her…and it always happens to the people who we’ve never met. She says it’s a spiritual gift haha.  -got my fingernails painted by Dallas’ little girl named Haven.  -got our hair cut by sister kern, she’s from Salem and I had NO IDEA!! -watched “why I believ...
