Sister Snelgrove!

Hey y'all! This week went by too fast. Soo much has happened!  I'M DUAL TRAINING!!! I'm for sure a little stressed about it, but am so thankful that my companions are good and ready to go to work. For anyone here who served/ are serving missions, what are some things that your trainers did that you did/didn't like? I need all the tips I can get.  Sister Snellgrove was the ONLY Sister who came in this transfer, and President assigned her to me! I feel so lucky, but also a TON of pressure. Even though it's my second transfer training, this is the first time doing it all by myself. So any words of wisdom would be so appreciated. Highlights:  ☆Went to swig one last time with Sister Allen:( until after the mish, or until President puts us together again…. ☆fed Koi fish with Kenzie, it was seriously so fun.  ☆I got my new trainee! Her name is Sister Snelgrove. She’s from Rexburg, Idaho. Her and Sister Hay went to high school together!! ☆I wore my blue light glasses becaus...

Hey y'all! Hope everyone had an awesome week. Of course I did because I'm blessed with the BEST COMPANIONS EVER! I've never laughed so hard in my life.  Highlights: ☆went to the Kunz's farm for dinner. The food was BOMB, but then we got to see all of the animals. I got to hold a baby goat.  ☆met a girl named Camille during street contacting. She was super sweet, and invited us to her backyard for herbal tea. It was kinda gross but we appreciated it. Better than getting the door slammed in our face.  ☆Old man Mike told us a bunch of totally untrue things about the church, and said that Wikipedia knows more than we do. ☆we went to our friend Brenda's house, and she opened the door, told us she had company (there was literally no one there), said "work on me later!" , and slammed the door. We decided to turn down the heat:( ☆while walking down the street, this lady was slowly driving her car-clearly high- yells, "GET IT GIRLS!!" and turns up the rad...

Hey everyone! Hope y'all have had some good weather wherever you are. On Saturday it was 82⁰, and today we are in the 40s. Oklahoma is weird.  Highlights: ☆ Had dinner with Brother Gorshe!!  ☆Went to Rudy’s for lunch, it was BOMB ☆took part in a giraffe drawing contest at the OU institute building, did not win. ☆Got bashed while street contacting, then he asked us to pray that he gets a hot girlfriend.  ☆had an AMAZING exchange. Sister Dunn is so cool. She played soccer too, so we bonded over that. ☆fed peanuts to a dog in the ghetto. We named him Ronchobi (no idea, just came to mind)  EPIC FAIL I have a purple scripture marker. I’m pretty intense with my scripture marking, so I have a color coding system. The problem was that I lost my marker, and it was kinda devastating. I looked ALL OVER!! One place I looked was under the passenger seat of our car. It was freezing and rainy, so I didn’t want to get out of the car, so I just looked while kneeling on my seat. The p...

Hello Hello!! Wow what a week. It was so good, I’m starting off and ending with spiritual thoughts.  I love fast and testimony meetings. You never know what you’re going to hear, and you feel the Spirit. One of our returning members blessed the sacrament this week for the first time ever. He’s 39, has 5 kids, and a single dad. Bless. His. Heart. All three of us, plus his mom and some newlyweds kept the kids quiet during the sacrament.  But he also bore his testimony. He said how Jesus “delivered” him. I love that word. Jesus has delivered me so many times.  Another thing someone said was that God answers prayers in HIS way, and that we need to turn to Him in HIS way. Because it’s the best way. I felt a little chastised, I need to stop trying to do things my way, because God has much better ideas than I do.  Highlights: ♡We had Zone Conference in Lawton! It was amazing as usual, and I felt so much comfortable and peace. Cried a dozen times but that's okay.  ♡Sist...
