Holy Week♡

Image
Hey y'all! Happy Holy week!  ☆On Thursday we went to the temple! It was amazing as usual, but I had an extra special surprise… Sister Rassy was there too!! We literally cried tears of joy when we saw each other. One of the best hugs I've gotten since coming back to the field.  ☆ We met Barry Switzer! We were sitting in the midway deli shop, and the waiter told us we were sitting at THE Barry Switzer's table. I was like “yeah right he's not gonna show up.” I kid you not, 10 minutes later, the man himself comes and says hi to us and sits down right next to us. We talked about our mission work, and of course we got a picture. (His superbowl ring was HUGE)  ☆went to the Kunz family farm, their family is so fun, and of course holding all of the animals is cute too. I held a super huge turkey that totally didn't hit me in the face after… Please pray for Cory to get a job that allows Sundays off please. He's working so hard towards baptism and needs prayers♡ Well, it...

Happy Wednesday everyone! What a week in the work of the Lord! So much happened, but honestly I can't remember haha.  ☆ We made 7 new friends this week! It really showed me what can happen when we yoke ourselves to Christ and believe in Him! ☆ We had a mall p-day with the sisters in my district!  ☆ The Blaylock family had us over for Family Home Evening, and we taught the lesson part. Cory was with us, so we did the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was so special, and they even invited Cory to their daughters baptism coming up! I love the fellowship in Oklahoma!  Yesterday we had a training from President and Sister Hugues, and let me tell ya, they know how to bring the Spirit so strong. They talked about the gathering of Israel, and how members of the church- especially missionaries- have the greatest opportunity to gather those who are not yet of His fold.  Isaiah 18:2 is now one of my favorite scriptures! 2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrush...

Magnified Efforts♡

What a week. (I say that like every time…) but really this week was nuts. Let's get into it.  ☆Our new friend Cory referred himself to us (he saw an add on his Bible app) and we met with him 3 times! He is sooo excited to learn more and he is on date to be baptized on April 20th! And he's in 4th ward too! Soooo exciting!! Please pray that he will get Sundays off, and that he can make it into the Waters of baptism safely!! Everyone loves him so far, and at the end of the lesson our stake patriarch felt prompted to give him a blessing. That was one of the most powerful blessings that I've heard in my life. I'm so thankful for the members here, they are amazing.  ☆on Tuesday we made 4 NEW FRIENDS!! Our goal is 1 a day, and holy cow were our efforts magnified.  ☆Zone Conference! I got to see all of my besties, some probably for the last time on the mission… it's crazy that the sisters who came out with me are going home in 3 weeks. I'm so excited to have 5 more mont...

Yoke Yourself To Christ:)

Wow. It feels like years since I’ve written an email. But here we are.  ☆Went on exchanges with the best Sister ever! Sister Reiser is amazing, we had an absolute blast together. ☆Ate some good Cracker Barrel. I don’t eat to live, I live to eat so that was a good day.  ☆Had some BOMB Peruvian snacks, the Armacanqui family never fails to disappoint when they are hosts. We watch slideshows of their life in Peru, and talk about the Gospel. Love it.  On Monday night, our Mission President reintroduced us to the OOCM’s “Standard’s of Excellence”. After counseling with the MLC, it’s been decided that we will have these standards at the forefront of our minds and will accomplish them. These standards are: -Each companionship help at least one person bind himself/herself to Christ through baptism per month. -Each companionship find at least one new friend every day. -Have members join us in at least 90% of all our lessons with our friends. -Each companionship have at least two ne...
