Wow.

A wonderful 2 days it has been! But I'll tell y'all about the past week. Highlights: ☆had an exchange with the STLS of the STLS. Which meant I got to see Sister Allen! I was with Sister Coons, and I learned SO MUCH from/about her. 1. She LOVES biking 2. The better you are at matching other's energy, the more likely they are to listen to you. 3. We as missionaries are so much more involved with the ward/stake efforts than we think. 4. Rely on the Spirit to personalize the gospel to their needs.  ☆ate fried gator! It's actually pretty good! Would recommend it. ☆gave my first Zone Conference training as an STL! It was pretty humbling, I've realized that God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.  ☆helped Sister Lee buy some boots! Before we went into the store she stopped me and said, "don't let them rip me off." Glad she can trust me ☆hid our bikes in a field while we went through a sketchy car wash. ☆Learned that Henry, Enrique, and Ha...

I Didn't Go Swimming But My Phone Did...

Hello darlins!  Wow. Just wow with this week. I didn't have a p-day on Monday, because we were supposed to be taking a recent convert to the temple today but he ended up canceling, so here we are.  EPIC FAIL:  So we had a CRAZY morning, on Saturday (we had to call the police and our president because of an emergency) and it wasn't even 10 am yet. So we decided to take a break and walk around the pond for a minute to destress.  In case any of y'all aren't aware, my family is accident and embarrassment prone, and the mission is no exception. (As I'm writing this I realize what an absolute DUMMY I am) We saw that all of the little fishies were following us as we were walking along the pond, and I wanted to see if I put my fingers on the surface level if they would come up and kiss my fingers. I've had fish do it before and it's kinda fun. There was a huge tree stump that I figured that I could lay on and dangle my arm over, so I set my stuff down at the top of ...

Hey y’all! First of all, Happy Mother's day to all of the motherly figures out there. Thank you for all that you do for us! I love Enid so much! And love Sister Lee even more! It has been such a blast serving with her!  My new address for anyone who would like it is: 2225 Fountain Lake Ave.  Apt A-211  Enid, OK, 73703 Highlights: ☆Had my first MLC!! All of the Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, and District Leaders spent a day with Elder Godoy. He gave the best training, seriously the best pump up to go find, teach and baptize.  ☆Mission Tour! This is the second time a general authority has come to Oklahoma in the past 6 months! The work is moving forward here!! Fast! ☆Two more of our friends are on date for baptism! John and Troy! That makes four for our ward in the month of June. We are so excited, Enid is so ready to hear what the Lord has to say to them.  ☆ My first exchange as an STL! Sister Blanchard is so sweet, I got so many good scriptures from her....

Hello from Enid! Oh my goodness I just love it here. Our apartment has a wide open field on one side, and our balcony overlooks a pond with lots of trees, ducks, geese,  turtles, HUGE FISH, and bullfrogs. We also have a bird nest on our roof, and all the cute birds just love our balcony.  Highlights: ☆Received the news that we are getting 2 new zones/stakes! That means that the work is really moving forward in Oklahoma! ☆threw a friend's coffee away, it's the best when they are so willing to follow the word of wisdom ☆said lots of goodbyes, it’s hard leaving your baby area, but I love it here in Enid.  ☆My bike tire popped while we were 4 miles out, but it was able to stay full enough for us to make it home safe.  ☆Met a lady at Taco Bell, she said she was interested in learning about the gospel. ☆We were getting out of our car, and I looked down and there was a baby turtle on the ground, we picked it up, (of course took pictures and named it Arnold) and then took it...

Hey everyone!! Super short email because I have a TONNN going on! Sometimes P-day is more stressful than restful… Highlights! ☆had a lesson at a homeless park, don’t ask how it happened because I don’t even know… ☆Sister Hay Graduated! I am so proud of the missionary she is, honestly training her was such a joy. (She honestly trained me, I learned so much from her.) ☆Had lunch with our recent convert Dallas, she is honestly just the best.  ☆Our tire was going flat, so we went to go fill it up, but none of the places had a working machine. At one of the places this dude was trying to help us, but he ended up making it even flatter. So I got out and showed em how it’s done ☆We had roleplays with the APs and Interviews with President! He and I had such a good talk, and I feel really good about this next transfer.  ☆Said bye to all of my friends at bingo. I love them so much, I’d honestly rather hang out with them than kids my age now… one of them started to cry when I told her I ...
